These are so popular with the young. I think I need to use one for a while. I joined Facebook, but this was not very successful. I could not find friends (or anyone) in my area. So I joined MySpace. Music started playing. Slide shows of strange people. (It's a foreign land)

Thought I would search for old school friends on MySpace, no luck yet.

Here's a photo of the woodwork that had to be done on our car. No plans available for a 1930 car. My husband's very clever, but I did all the research of course!

Podcasts

Podcasts...Ahhhhhh....Completed Podcasts exercise, however, my computer is not fast enough. I managed to listen to the WMA podcasts but the others, (MP3 & MP4) were taking too long, very frustrating. I want a new computer!

Answer Boards

Answer Boards...Great!....I have not used the answer boards very much in the past. However, now I am a convert. They should be part of the library service.

Here's a photo from our Chrysler collection. It is a photo of the ornamental radiator cap (the chrysler wings), made in 1930, now a collectors item.

Delicious....Have to learn this, everyones talking about it.....Opened a Del.icio.us account. I thought I would have a go at "daily blog posting". As instructed I went to settings, then daily blogs posting, and tried to perform the "experimental feature". Thought I set it up OK. However, when I checked my blog, nothing. Spent a lot of time trying to get it to work. Next day checked my Del.icio.us site, where I had a message that this function was prohibited. Guess I'll stick with the basics and get them under my belt instead.

Completed this exercise. I will have to find time to investigate Wikis further, as they seem like a great tool.

I have now completed the exercise on RSS. Have added the suggested feeds to the Reader. Found this exercise the most challenging so far, because I could not "search" and find the Powerhouse feed. In the end I googled it in another window and cut and pasted the URL. I'll finish this blog now because I want to go and investigate the feeds. Looks like I'll be happily occupied for quite some time. Also, here's another photo of our Chrysler. It has taken 3 years to get to this point. Still a long way to go.

Hello Everyone

I am hoping to learn new skills doing this program. Found it quite easy to follow so far.

I am new to blogging but have experience with other programs which has helped. Did not have a library photograph but thought the photo of the car my husband is restoring might be interesting. It is a 1930 Chrysler Roadster 66. It is much further on than this shows. I'll put another photo up next blog.
